The beast in me - June 24th 2011 - Jays @ Cards - Gamethread

Ok lets start over. It's BEAST MODE time. Time to go out, fire strikes, hit HR and score some runs. I am absolutely positive this will happen and I am in no means worried at all. What? No I'm not drunk yet... well ok I've had a few.

Today we have our road warrior going for the Jays on the mound, seriously check out Morrow's home and away splits at baseball-reference.com its crazy. Its takes on former Tribe pitcher in Jake Westbrook. Right now the Cardinals have 41 wins on the season vs 35 losses (9th best record in the entire MLB). that is only outperforming their Pythagorean record by 1 so yeah they aren't just getting lucky.

While I never like to see someone get hurt, the Jays are lucky that Pujols is out right now with an injury. This will hopefully allow the Jays to sneak in and get a few victories to just them back in the win column. I don't have to tell anyone here that the past few days have been tough to watch and I think it would go a long way for all of our fragile state of emotions at the moment if the Jays could manage to at least put 5 up on the board.

Magic Eight Ball prediction: Ask again later.
