Pfffft. Odd start times confuse my poor brain.
Its make up day! This is the replay of a game missed on May 17th, that was just part of a two game mini series where the Jays had won the first game. So today we go for the sweep (of either a 1 or 2 game series, whichever which way you wish to look at it).
Tom had a thread up earlier today with the lineup and it looks like another bit of a headscratcher for the back end of the lineup. At this point I am not sure why you DH Patterson. Sure if you want to get Davis into the game put him in, but how do you sit Rivera and EE (EDIT - I just saw Tom updated the post and EE is hurt) over Patterson. I know he has had a good year to this point but he has really been struggling of late and having him as a DH is just sort of embarrassing.
Today Zach Stewart gets his 3rd major league start as he looks to bounce back from his previous poor effort in the series that didn't happen in A----ta. He faces Max "scary eyes" Scherzer. Did you know Scherzer is part of a bobblehead give-a-way this year? It's true I read it on SBNation's rankings of every ballclub in relation to their give-a-ways, the Jays placed a respectful 2nd with the Jose Bautista Bobblehead where they had this to say:
It's the most obvious promotion item on the list -- of course they're going to have a Jose Bautista bobblehead -- but this one makes it because look how happy he is. Bautista isn't on performance-enhancing drugs -- he's on ecstasy.
