GameThread ... DraftThread - Which side are you on? - June 6th 2011 - Jays @ Royals

Its Draft night! And Game Night! A good night to be a Jays fan. With all of the picks we have in the first couple rounds odds are we are going to see at least some of these names stick around on our prospect charts for sometimes and hopefully in a few years they were be fighting to get into our lineup with the rest of our all-stars and world series winners..... Hey I can dream.

I will leave the draft talk to the more talented folks around here I am just sit here waving my Blue Jays flag like I always do and just cheer for whatever name gets called.... so... GO JAYS GO!

As for the game tonight, Brandon Morrow goes for the Jays, he is 2-3 with 1 save lifetime in 7 appearances (2GS) against the Royals. He sports a 5.51ERA with a 1.224 WHIP in 16 total innings pitched. He has 6BB and 17Ks in those 17 innings as well. Paulino only has about 230IP of major league experience and has never faced the Jays as most of his career was spent in the NL thus far.

No big changes to the lineup except that Nix gets the start at 3rd again. At this point we all know the deal as it is going to be a rotation of Nix/McCoy (and MacDonald if he was healthy) until Lawrie is good to go. Hopefully that is sooner rather then later.
