Last time out Brandon Morrow didn't do so well and didn't make out of the 5th inning. He is looking to rebound against the Rays who he has had some brilliant success against in the past. On the year Morrow has faced the Rays twice and has a 1-1 record against them, in total 11.2IP 8H (1 HR) 4ER 6BBs 17Ks, thats not too shabby. Of course we all remember last year with the near no hitter against the Rays where Morrow threw one of the most dominant games in the history of baseball (according to that ESPN game score thingamagig).
The Jays have to go through David Price to get back on the winning track, we all know Price is a fantastic pitcher, on the year he is 2-1 against the Jays and have pitched into the 8th and the 9th. Last time out he went into the 7th giving up 3 earned runs which was enough to give him the loss.
Strange lineup today. Lind is getting the day off so Encarnacion mans first. In his place as DH we have Molina batting 7th ahead of Thames and Arencibia. I am not sure why Molina should be batting ahead of Thames in the lineup but there it is. McCoy is back in CF and leading off. Callups can't come soon enough.
Keep it Civil and Go Jays Go
