Home, where my thought's escaping - Sept. 6 GameThread - Red Sox @ Jays

I used a line from Paul Simon's Homeward Bound and we won, yesterday, so we'll use another line from the same song.

Lots of little bits of news today.

  • The players called up from Vegas won't be here until tomorrow. Guess it is fair to give them a day to get up here.
  • Adeiny Hechavarria wasn't called up because he needs to stay in the states another month to get his citizenship.
  • Yunel is back in the line up. Yay.
  • Colby Rasmus has taken batting practice, so he is nearer a return. Yay.
  • Rajai Davis has been moved to the 60-Day DL and PJ Walters was outrighted to Vegas to make room for our call ups. Davis played 2 days ago but has reinjured himself and won't be back this season. Walters could refuse the assignment and become a free agent but I'm not too worried about that.
  • Chad Mottola has also been called up to Toronto to help with the hitters.

Tonight's starters:
