Frictionless GameThread: Twins @ Blue Jays October 1

GameThread for game 1 of the last series of the season.

Jesse Johnson-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

I'd like to make the following statement:

Any speculation of an rift between myself and SB Nation management made by any 'journalist' with no ties to the situation is irresponsible. Yes, we have had our moments of disagreement during the season, especially in regard to the implementation of the United platform, but I totally deny that I held a knife to SB Nation founder Tyler Blez (we'll just stop at Blez, even he doesn't know how to spell his full last name) and screamed 'explain how a story stream works'. Any speculation by a Boston 'writer' is totally unfounded (unless it turns out she was filming it with her cell phone, in which case I reserve the right to change my statement).

There is no end to fun when Boston media gets talking about John Farrell. I'll let ML write a full response to her Twits, but I never believe anything said by someone with a unnamed source.

Today we start the last series of the 2012 Blue Jay season. It will be good to put this mess out of our misery. Edwin isn't playing tonight, which makes our lineup seem even more anemic than normal. Not that the Twins resemble the 27 Yankees. Not even a Justin Morneau to give it a Canadian flavor.
