I was inspired by this idea over at McCovey Chronicles (and a few other sites do it too as I've learned from my lurking) and I thought it would be fun to do here too. The basic idea is to nominate BBB commenters for each type of award and then do a separate fanpost with a poll to declare the winner. So let's kick off the first Annual BBB awards nomination process. Below are some ideas for nomination.

Best Commenter: Can be any commenter that you feel brings the heat, whether it be insightful comments, use of logic, wit, Dickey puns, red panda gifs, etc. The MVP of the awards.

Funniest Commenter: Who makes you laugh the hardest? Do they post the best images or just say the funniest things on a consistent basis. Kind of like the Cy Young in that you can be the funniest and still win the MVP award too.

Best New Commenter: Anyone with a start date in 2012 that brought the most to the community this year. The Rookie of the Year Award.

Robert S McLeod Spirit Award: Given to the commenter that brings the most unbreakable spirit in clinging to their beliefs. This person of will showed those commenters of will what will really was. (Robert is eligible in this category).

Feel free to add any other categories that you feel are missing and put the name of the commenter as a nominee for that award. Rec the nominees you like best and we'll put the highest rec'd nominees for each award in their own fanpost for voting. Try to put one nominee per post so that we don't confused with the recs (i.e. one post for MVP nominee, one post for rookie commenter, etc.). If you see a nominee has already been posted, just rec that post. So, BBBers, who are your nominees?
