I'm just going to list guys that did had a good day, for the most part. I'm also going to put in batter's walks and strikeouts to this point in the season. Too early to read much into that but something to see.
Las Vegas 51's 2-6
Lost to Fresno 8-5
- Bill Murphy: 4 innings, 6 hits, 5 earned, 2 walks, 3 k, loss. We really aren't sending any of our good pitching prospects to Vegas.
- Anthony Gose: 0 for 4, walk, 2 stolen bases. .114/.225/.114. Finally a successful steal.
- Adeiny Heckavarria: 0 for 4, walk, k. .406/.441/.563. 2 walks, 8 k.
- Travis Snider: 1 for 5, HR, k. .370/.414/.704. 2 walks, 5 k.Thames struggling, Moonraker raking. Way too soon for a switch, if the Jays thought Thames was the better choice, 6 games worth of at bats shouldn't change their minds. But, if they really thought Eric's defense has improved, I don't know what they have been watching. We really need a scout in Vegas to tell us how Travis looks, I'm sure the Jays are getting daily information on what his swing looks like.
- Travis d'Arnaud: 2 for 5, 2 k. .207/.281/.241. 3 walks, 4 k.
- Yan Gomes: 1 for 4. .360/.385/.440.1 walk, 6 k.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats (3-4)
Lost to New Britain 5-3.
- Chad Jenkins: 7 innings, 5 hits, 5 earned, 1 walk, 5 k, 3 HR, loss. Someone on twitter said that he was leaving too many pitches up, I guess so if he gave up 3 home runs.
- Koby Clemens: 1 for 3, HR, k..182/.182/.455. 0 walk, 6 k.
- Justin Jackson: 3 for 3, 2 doubles, 2 steals. .409/.409/.636. 0 walks, 5 k. Hitting well, maybe he can become a prospect again as a utility players.
- Mike McDade: 1 for 4, k. .346/.357/.423. 1 walk, 4 k.
Lansing Lugnuts (7-0)
Beat West Michigan 3-2
