Eric Thames isn't winning himself any friends at the moment. Of course it doesn't help that Travis Snider is raking in Vegas but to see the way things played out for Thames last night it is hard to not feel sorry for him. After blasting a massive home run that quite literally left the yard he bumbled a running catch near the LF corner to help give the Orioles a HR, the lead and the victory.

Drabek takes the hill tonight looking to continue his winning ways. While there has certainly been some encouraging signs early in the year for Drabek it isn't without caution. Obviously its easy to forget that he actually started out well last year as well. Not to mention last time out on the hill he walked 6 batters in 5.1IP. In his second start on the season Drabek started against the Orioles and got the Jays their only win of that series. During that game he threw 7.1IP with 6Ks and only 1BB, he threw 103 pitches.

Jason Hammel only managed 5 innings against the Jays in the last series, but the hitters still werent able to hurt him too much. The Jays did manage 6 hits with a BB in those 5 innings but they only managed to push 2 runs across the plate.

With Drabek on the hill we have a few interesting lineup decisions. Edwin Encarnacion is making his season debut at 3rd base as Lawrie gets the day off to DH. Eric Thames inexplicably moves up to 5th in the order in between Lind and Encarnacion. I don't get it, hopefully its just for one game.

Reminder a few ground rules for the gamethreads that are in effect.

1. Please no Gifs or images during the game threads. The threads go by quick and with a lot of people tend to slow down for people. We understand it isn't as bad for people already in the thread but anyone new coming in has a nightmare of a time loading mutliple images. --- As a side note as the game end we will lift the ban and you can go as crazy as you like.

2. Don't argue with any of the moderators. Think of it like arguing balls and strikes, you can get tossed. If you have a problem with the rules feel free to e-mail either Tom or myself (our e-mail is at the bottom of the page). Rules link

3. No linking to any illegal streams
