Sanchez remains nearly untouchable; Snider homers in a loss - Blue Jays Farm Report - May 15th

On a day after the Blue Jays would lose both the game and one of their best players, there is nothing better than premiere prospects performing on the farm. Let's all take a deep breath and celebrate the exciting potential of Aaron Sanchez and the first hit for Travis Snider since returning from the DL.

Lansing 2 - Dayton Dragons 1

Aaron Sanchez got the start for the Lugnuts in Dayton and went 4 shutout innings giving up just 1 hit and 2 walks. He punched out 5 and got 7 groundball outs compared to one in the air. Justin Nicolino pitched 4 innings in relief of Sanchez but got roughed up a bit giving up Dayton's lone run on 6 hits. He struck out 3 but got exactly half of his outs on the ground. Lansing won the game on sac flies by Hobson and Brisker and Javier Avendano closed the game out with a scoreless 9th.
