Johnny, Hugo, Jesse and I got together, on Skype, and did a podcast on Wednesday night. I'll admit, I have more fun talking with them for the podcasts than most anything I do. Mostly it is the fun of getting together with friends to talk baseball. There is a particular joy in talking baseball with friends. Or really talking baseball with almost anyone. Surprisingly enough I find myself talking baseball just about everywhere I go, whatever I'm at someone will know that I'm on the site and we'll end up talking baseball.
But then, getting to talk with those three is just fun. We've known each other long enough that we feel comfortable enough to tease each other about anything and everything. I'm not sure that it comes through in the podcasts but we are just having a good time.
Johnny does a great job editing it together. If you haven't listened to one, give it a try, and be sure to keep listening after we say goodbye. Like the Avengers, the funniest parts are after the credits. Johnny takes little bits from the hour or so we spend chatting before and after we do the podcast, and cuts some of the funnier parts into the fade out.
Anyway, tonight we start 3 games against the Rangers. It won't be an easy series.
Starting pitchers are:
Lineups after the jump.
As always, follow the rules. To be honest the rules boil down to he fact that I have to be here, Johnny has to be here, the Mods have to be here, if you make it so that we don't want to be here, if you make it a choice of me or you, well, you will be leaving.
I liked Craig's list of things that grind his gears and agree with a lot of it (but Craig, I'll add that one of mine is people that use several different screen names, so I never know who I'm talking too. Pick one, stick with it).
You all know the rules about no images in the game threads (until the game is over), no arguing with the mods, no discussing illegal streams. Beyond that there is a link on the left-hand side to our guidelines. Basically don't be insufferable. Most of the ones that have been banned have been insufferable.
