The Jays are looking to salvage at least one win from the Braves this afternoon as they send their most winningest (It's a word) to the mound. Romero will face off against Julio Teheran who is making his season debut for the Braves and only his 4th career major league start.
On the lineup side of things it appears as if Davis is still out with a sore finger as David Cooper is going to get into the game at first place while Edwin Encarnacion shifts to the outfield. Yep that's right Edwin is getting a start in LF, I think we are all terribly excited about the idea. I'm sure Edwin will be thinking along the same lines as most of us for the entire game in thinking "Please don't hit it to left, please don't hit it to left".
Hopefully Edwin does well in left but this has been what I have been worried about for awhile, our bench seems weirdly put together at the moment where we have a ton of pieces that can move around on the infield with Gomes and McCoy to go along with Cooper and Mathis, but no spare outfielders? I hope this works, but I have a feeling that I picked the wrong week to stop.... well you know.
