Blue Jay Minor League Coaching Assignments

The Blue Jays announced a bunch of minor league coaching assignments. New to the organization are:

Gary Allenson, new manager for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Allenson was manager of the Aberdeen IronBirds of the short-A team in the Marlins system. He's been a manager for 18 years, after a 7 year MLB career as a catcher.

Bobby Meacham, new manager for Dunedin. Meacham was first base coach for the Astros last year. He played in the majors for 6 seasons.

Tim Leiper, Senior Advisor. Leiper was the Marlins Infield Coordinator the last 2 years. Before that he was a minor league manager for 12 seasons and played for Canada in the WBC in 2006. and 2009

Tim Raines, Outfield and Baserunning Coordinator.

Mike Barnett Hitting Coordinator. Barnett was the Jays Major league hitting coach from 2002=2005.

Rich Hebner, Hitting Coach at New Hamshire. Hebner returns to the Jays system, he was a manager and hitting instructor with us. He played in the majors for 18 years.

Stubby Clapp, Hitting Coach at Dunedin. Spent the last 6 seasons in the Astros organization, 4 as a hitting coach, last 2 as manager. He played for Team Canada in the WBC in 2006 and 2009.

Sal Fasano becomes 'Roving Catcher Instructor'. I'm not sure if we should consider this a promotion or not. I guess, since he took the job, it must be a promotion. It doesn't seem to be pushing him along the road to a major league manager job though.
