Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving.

I have much to be thankful for, my life is pretty good. Yesterday I saw a guy pushing a shopping cart full of bottles and cans, and I'm thankful and lucky that I'm not doing that.

I am thankful that my family is all healthy and doing well. I'm lucky to have a wife that still puts up with me all these years later and have three boys that make me proud and keep me laughing. I am also fortunate to have friends, for which I'm thankful.

I'm thankful for getting to play on this site for all these years. This season has been harder than most, but I'm still very lucky to get to do this.

I'm thankful for all the people playing in the sandbox with me. Minor Leaguer, who does far more work on here than he signed up for and is a good friend. And all the other folks on the Masthead: Carm, Jays182, Nick Ashbourne, Damaso's Burnt Shirt, Woodman663, Jessef, Blake Murphy, Jared Macdonald, Noah Sherman and , I'm so thankful for all that you have contributed. This sandbox is much more fun with others. And I'm very thankful for Bowling_Guy25 wielding the banhammer with style.

I'm thankful for friends that are willing to travel with me to see games. I'd never be able to go to so many places without friends coming along. And my oldest boy let me come along with him to Toronto. Thank you.

I am thankful for the people that read the site. Our numbers keep growing. I am thankful for the quality of the comments too. I read comments at other sites and think how lucky we are that our commenters are friendly, knowledgeable and bring a lot to the site. I learn every day. Even when we disagree I like hearing other opinions and I'm glad to be reminded that baseball isn't just math, that there is more than one answer to every question.

I'm thankful for the fanposts and fanshots, they have been terrific. I'm thankful for emails we get commenting on the site, making suggestions or just saying hi. It's great to meet folks reading the site. I'm even thankful for the odd email we get from irate Yankee or Red Sox fans, taking me to task for daring to say something less than positive about their teams. Mostly I'm thankful that it reminds me how lucky I am to be a Jay's fan.

I am thankful for the Jays. It might not have been the season we hoped for, but they still gave me hours of entertainment, and lots to talk about.

And I'm thankful the Tigers won last night, I hope they do the same tonight.
