Blue Jays Option Ricky Romero to minors

The Jays just made a big announcement, Ricky Romero has been optioned to the minors. All the way down to Dunedin. Wow. That I didn't see coming. The full Roy Halladay treatment.

That means J.A. Happ will be the 5th starter.

So Gibbons was telling the truth earlier.

I figured Ricky would be put on the DL and sent to the minors on a rehab assignment.

Happ will be fifth starter. AA says it's undetermined whether Romero will progress through minors or stay in Fla. until he is deemed fixed.
