Sorry for the low post count the last few days, I've been away and will be for a couple more days.
And there hasn't been much for Blue Jays news, but there are a couple of things I thought I should mention.
First is, I'm sure you've noticed the change in the logo in the top corner. For the next week all SB Nation sites are going to have the "It's On Us' logo. It's On Us is a campaign against sexual assault that SB Nation is taking part in. With Jian Gomeshi's issues being the talk of the country, the timing couldn't be better.
It's On Us asks us to pledge that:
I PLEDGE To RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
To IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault may occur.
To INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
To CREATE an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
I'm all for anything that helps makes us more aware of the issue.
In more Blue Jays related news, Ken Rosenthal tells us:
Executives involved in bidding for Russell Martin believe #Cubs are clear front-runner. Deal expected to be in four-year, $64M range.

But then he goes on to say
Caveat to earlier report on #Cubs as leader for Martin: #BlueJays still could be in mix. #Tigers feared TOR would outbid them for VMart.

Apparently other teams seem to think the Jays have some money to spend, and are likely to spend it. We can only hope.
I do think the Jays would like to make a big move. I'm sure they understand the frustration their fan base is feeling and know that one or two big money moves would buy them a great deal of goodwill. Persnally, I'd love them to go big on Yasmany Tomas (but that's a post for another day).
