Our 8th straight win!

Rays 6 Blue Jays 9

8 wins in a row! And 5th series win in a row! I could get used to this.

Our offense, again, was great. 13 hits. Home runs from Adam Lind, Edwin Encarnacion (his 14th of the merry, merry month of May) and Juan Francisco

Everyone in the starting lineup had a hit except Anthony Gose (0 for 4, 2 k). Jose Bautista and Lind had 3 each. Brett Lawrie had 2. And they shared the RBI, only Adam Lind had more than 1 RBI, with 2.

Mark Buehrle had a pretty ok start. He could have used more help from his defense, he gave up 8 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts, but a few of the 'hits' should have been outs. He gets his 9th win. Last year his 9th win came on August 15th.

Our bullpen wasn't sharp. Steve Delabar gave up 2 hits, a walk and 2 earned. Brett Cecil came in to get the last out of the 8th and gave up a single and a deep fly ball that Anthony Gose made a nice catch on. Casey Janssen had a drama free 9th for his 8th save.

We were a little sloppy on defense. Jose Reyes made a bad throw to first and didn't get to a ground ball to short that wasn't really that hard a play. Adam Lind over ran a pop up.  A couple of balls were bobbled in the outfield that to cost us a base.

Gibbons won a challenge again, the quickest decision on a challenge that I've seen.

We hit the 1/3 marker at 31 and 22, 2.5 games up on the Yankees (who are losing 5-0 to the Cardinals as I type this) and 3 up on the Orioles (who are losing 5-3 to the Brewers at the moment).

Jays of the Day are Lind (.175, 3 for 4 with a home run), Lawrie (.161, 2 for 4, and turned a nice DP at second base) and Jose Bautista (.103, 3 for 4 and a walk).

Gose had the suckage number (-.104). He did cover a lot of ground in CF, but twice he had balls go either just off his glove or just past his glove, after a long run.
