There really aren't words, but i'll try anyway.
It was just strange. White Sox had 17 hits, 14 singles and 3 doubles. Everything they hit missed gloves. It wasn't like they were hitting rockets all over the place. They were hitting things just past or just over, or dying infront of, gloves.
Marcus Stroman just wasn't Marcus Stroman. He got just 2 outs, allowed 5 hits, hit a batter and committed a balk. 37 pitches and he was out of the game.
Chad Jenkins was some better, he allowed 5 hits too, but he also got 8 outs. Only 1 earned for Chad.
Todd Redmond was worst of all. He came in with 1 out and 1 on in the 4th, and got a couple of strikeouts to get out of the inning. Then came the 5th, Redmond gave up 6 singles and a walk without getting an out. And it was 11-4.
Dustin McGowan, Aaron Sanchez, Aaron Loup and Casey Janssen pitched the final 4 innings without allowing more runs.
On offense? We got 5 runs, which, the way we've been playing, is a lot of runs. We had 9 hits. 2 each for Munenori Kawasaki, Adam Lind, and Dioner Navarro had 2 hits each (Navarro even had an infield single). Melky Cabrera hit his first home run since July 28th. We did score first, so we had a lead for a few minutes.
Jays of the Day are Melky (.102 WPA) and Lind (.094)
Suckage goes to Stroman (-.432) and Redmond (-.124)
Amazingly we had 1296 comments (we really need therapy of some sort) in our GameThreads. Pikachu continues his winning streak.
