The end of our little visit to U.S. Cellular Field. And the deciding game of the series.
Navarro gets the 'day game after night game' day off. Juan Francisco gets his first start of the series.
White Sox rookie Scott Carroll gets first 14th start, he's made 6 relief appearances as well. He's 4-7 with a 4.81 ERA. In 9a.2 innings he's allowed 105 hits, 32 walks with 48 strikeouts. Maybe a good match for the Jays. He's had a rough time of it lately, in his last 4 starts he is 0-2 with a 6.65 ERA. He gave up 7 runs in 5 innings against the Mariners in his last start.
Hutchison is 8-10 in 24 starts, with a 4.60 ERA. He has a 6.41 ERA in his last 5 starts. 2 of those starts were good/very good, the other 3 weren't.
I've been meaning to mention a bit of news about Jose Bautista, so we'll put it here. He's joined an Anti Bullying initiative started by the WWE, the S.T.A.R. Alliance.
"The mission of the S.T.A.R. Alliance is to use pop culture's most influential voices to help eradicate the raging bullying epidemic plaguing America's schools," said Robin Bronk, CEO of The Creative Coalition. "We are delighted to partner with WWE to bring these powerful and inspirational voices of the entertainment industry to encourage children to be participatory in standing up to bullies."
"WWE is proud to help bring together a diverse group of international celebrities who all share the vision to stop bullying forever," said Stephanie McMahon, Chief Brand Officer, WWE. "Through the joint efforts of WWE, The Creative Coalition and the S.T.A.R. Alliance, we hope to reach millions of young people and provide them with the knowledge and resources they need to help put an end to bullying in their communities."
I'm all for anything that preaches against bullying. I really don't think schools do enough to protect children from bullies (not that I think you can do enough). In my area, school all say they have zero tolerance for bullying, but, talking to parent, I generally when they complain their kid is being bullied, the school does nothing. I heard, from more than one family, of schools saying 'maybe your child should find a different school', instead of them saying 'we will stop this from happening'.
Remember we have rules around here. Some reminders, don't talk about illegal streams, don't argue the rules, don't piss off the mods and don't be terrible. Also no Gifs or pictures until the game ends.
