We did this back in May and Gibby's numbers ran 65% approve, 26% neutral and 10% do not approve. I'm curious to see if the numbers move some.
I'll admit I like him a lot better with a 7-man bullpen and reasonable options on the bench, than with a 8-man pen with 3 catchers on the bench. I can imagine he like managing a lot more with a decent bench too.
Sometimes he is still a little slow with the hook, for me, I hate leaving guys in to give them a chance at win, I wish managers would forget about player wins and saves, and just think about team wins. But then, they are closer to the players than we are, they know what makes the players tick.
I hate bunts, especially in the early innings. I know it has something to do with the players he has. In his first stint with the Jays, Gibby was always near the bottom of the league in bunt attempts, this year he's closer to the top of the league. I wish he would go back to his old ways. I imagine that when Edwin and Adam are back, he'll bunt less.
