Casey Janssen signs with the Nationals

My favourite Blue Jays player from the past several years is now a Washington National. According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, reliever Casey Janssen signed a one-year deal with the Nationals which includes a mutual option, worth $5 million guaranteed including the buyout of the 2016 option. That number is probably not what Janssen was thinking of when he went into the All-Star break last season, but food poisoning, and a collapsed strikeout rate, caught up with him and he no longer was the elite closer we so enjoyed for the past few seasons.
