A total of seven Canadian-born players will be suiting up for the Toronto Blue Jays this afternoon in their split-squad game against Canada's junior national men's baseball team in Dunedin.

Leading off will be Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, ON) and Russell Martin (East York, ON / Montreal, QC) will bat third, while catcher Mike Reeves (Peterborough, ON), outfielder Marcus Knecht (Toronto, ON) will be on the bench. In the bullpen are a trio of Canadian lefties in Andrew Albers (North Battleford, SK), Jeff Francis (Vancouver, BC), and Shane Dawson (Drayton Valley, AB). Notably missing is the injured Michael Saunders (Victoria, BC).

Today is a fantastic day for Canadian baseball fans, especially for Ken and Val Pompey, who will get to see their two sons, Dalton for the Blue Jays and Tristan for Canada, face each other for the first time.

I had a chance to meet both brothers last season and man--Tristan is huge compared to his older brother.

The Jays are also playing the Braves, here is the lineup for that game:

Reyes, SS Ciriaco, SS
Donaldson, 3B Callaspo, 2B
Bautista, RF Freeman, 1B
Navarro, DH Gomes, LF
Barton, 1B Pierzynski, DH
Viciedo, LF Johnson, 3B
Gindl, CF Almonte, RF
Thole, C Cunningham, CF
Santiago, 2B Schiehuber, C
Estrada, p Teheran, P

This will be the GameThread for both games. Both Games can be heard on MLB Audio.
