Leading off will be Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, ON) and Russell Martin (East York, ON / Montreal, QC) will bat third, while catcher Mike Reeves (Peterborough, ON), outfielder Marcus Knecht (Toronto, ON) will be on the bench. In the bullpen are a trio of Canadian lefties in Andrew Albers (North Battleford, SK), Jeff Francis (Vancouver, BC), and Shane Dawson (Drayton Valley, AB). Notably missing is the injured Michael Saunders (Victoria, BC).
Today is a fantastic day for Canadian baseball fans, especially for Ken and Val Pompey, who will get to see their two sons, Dalton for the Blue Jays and Tristan for Canada, face each other for the first time.
