Happy News, Happy News.
Sounds like MLSE set to do a lease deal for Argos at BMO. Sadly, not for this season.

It may be the first time I've liked something that Damien Cox has ever said.
No details yet. We don't know when the Argos will be leaving Rogers Centre to the Jays. The Jays told the Argos that they would no longer be welcome to play in Rogers Centre after the 2017 season. I'd imagine that it will take awhile to make the changes needed for CFL football at BMO. Movable stands are to be put in and the field has to be extended to allow for the length needed for CFL play.
It should be good for the Argos too, not that they had much choice, there isn't another suitable place for CFL football and they wouldn't be able to raise the money to build something of their own. It is more fun watching football in an outdoor stadium. It will be much better to watch the Argos stars like ummmmm that one guy, hmmmm I don't know if I can name an Argo. Oh right, Rickey Ray.
Kicking out the Argos is one of the steps needed to allow real grass to go into Rogers Centre. I've had my doubts that they are serious about putting in grass but maybe it will happen.
