Kyle Drabek claimed by White Sox, Miguel Castro and Roberto Osuna meet with John Gibbons

Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

Rain ended the Blue Jays - Tigers game prematurely today, but that only led to more action off the field in the Blue Jays clubhouse. Mike Wilner started it off with a tweet that Kyle Drabek has packed his bags and started to shake hands in with his teammates.

One would figure that he is on the move out of the organization as he cannot be sent down to the minors, having exhausted his final option year in 2014.

Shi Davidi then tweeted that reliever Scott Barnes was successfully passed through waivers and has been outrighted off the 40-man roster.

Perhaps the Blue Jays had placed Drabek on waivers as well and he was picked up by another club, or perhaps they have managed to find a trade partner for his services. In any case I know that there will be some changes coming to the Blue Jays roster map.

Finally, Scott MacArthur tweeted that Roberto Osuna and Miguel Castro have been called to the principals' office together, that could mean anyth-- hey! there are two spots on the 40-man that were just freed up!

Speculate away, folks. We will keep you updated as soon as Twitter keeps us updated.

UPDATE (literally seconds after I hit "post")

Jon Morosi confirms that Drabek was placed on waivers, but ended up being lost on a waiver claim to a mystery team.

UPDATE (again literally seconds after I hit "post" for the last update)

Kyle Drabek is officially no longer a Blue Jay! He is headed to the southside of Chicago (well actually to Glendale, Arizona) as he was claimed by the White Sox. So yes... TWO major league roster spots are now open (at least for a few seconds after I hit "post").
