GameThread for Game 6: Blue Jays @ Orioles

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Friday's game was so much more fun than Yesterday's. I'm hoping the bats appear again. That we didn't hit bugged me more than Aaron Sanchez having some problems. I imagine Sanchez was a little over excited, and just wasn't hitting the target. We are going to have games like that. Todd Redmond really didn't look good. He was so good last year that I'm willing to give him a break on this one, but, at some point, the team has to go down to 7 relievers. Another game like yesterday's and Todd will be the guy leaving.

Drew Hutchison gets his second start. His first went pretty well, he threw 6 innings, allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks, with 3 strikeouts, allowing just 1 run.

Chris Tilman is also making his second start and also had a very good first start, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, 3 walks,4 strikeouts over 6.2.

The O's are making a couple of lineup changes, Pearce moves to first, Davis DH and Lavarnway in to catch. Jonathan Schoop is a late scratch with a 'sore quad', with Ryan Flaherty taking his spot on the field.

For us, Navarro is in at DH, Smoak sits. Pompey stays in the 2 spot.

A couple of minor league notes, Randy Wolf gets his first start in Buffalo today. Felix Doubront and Johan Santana are still working on arm strength, it will be a little while before they join the Bisons. Maicer Izturis is a long way from playing, it will be May before he's into games. And it is looking like Michael Saunders could be up with the Jays by the end of the week or soon after. He'll have a few more games in Dunedin, then up to Buffalo for one or two and then, all being well, up to the Jays.

GO JAYS GO!
