Kevin Pillar's tremendous defensive play on Wednesday was the subject of MLB Central's Statcast on Friday. According to their numbers, Pillar's route efficiency was nearly perfect at 97.9% (100% would be a direct, straight-line path), covering 81.3 feet, before he leapt to pull a home run back from a 10-foot, not 20- or 12- or 15-foot, wall. Side note: did you know that Mark DeRosa played an inning in left field when he was with the Blue Jays?
