GameThread for Game 13: Braves @ Jays

The rubber game of the three game series with the Braves.

The Braves look to be a better team than I thought they would be this year. Of course, when you have a shortstop that also covers all of left field, that helps out.

Daniel Norris gets his third start. He is 1-0 with a 4.22 ERA in 10.2 innings. He's walked too many, 5, given up too many home runs, 3, but also has 9 strikeouts. I think he'll learn as he goes on. In a perfect world, he'd be learning in the minors still, but then it is fun watching young players improve in front of us. Just do it quickly Daniel.

Shelby Millar is 1-0 with a 0.90 ERA in 10 innings. He's allowed 7 hits, 4 walks, no home runs, with 5 strikeouts. I'm betting he gives up at least his first and second home runs of the season today.

And we have another Canadian on the roster. Jeff Francis joins the team, with Colt Hynes making the drive to Buffalo. Sorry to see Colt go. He got unlucky yesterday, but he's looked ok for us. With all these Canadians on the team, we are sure to have the best road hockey team in the league.

I'm going to be listening to the game on radio, as I have a drive ahead of me today, going to the lovely town of Rocky Mountain House. Population 6,933. Salute. Driving time should be almost exactly the length of the game, barring extra innings. I love XM Radio.

Remember we have rules here. Mostly don't be terrible (it seems like a small thing to ask). No arguing with the Mods, you have a problem, email me, but in the thread, let's not debate rules.
