New Hampshire won on a walk-off and Buffalo & Lansing ride strong pitching to wins on Thursday

Buffalo Recap
Chad Jenkins had a decent start and the offense pounded out 18 hits in the 11-1 win. The Herd struck out 8 times and walked 6 in their win over Lehigh Valley

  • Chad Jenkins went 5 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 3 in his start
  • Ryan Tepera followed with 2 scoreless innings. He didn't allow a hit, but walked 1 and struck out 3
  • Gregory Infante allowed the only run of the game in his inning. He allowed 2 hits and a walk. This was the least sharp appearance by Infante so far this year
  • Colt Hynes made his Herd debut pitching a clean 9th, with only a hit allowed

  • Ezequiel Carrera was on base 5 times in 6 PA's. He had 4 singles and a walk, and was able to score 2 runs. Carrera also stole his 3rd base of the year
  • Matt Hague did one better, getting on base all 6 times, with 3 singles and 3 walks. Hague also scored 2 runs
  • Munenori Kawasaki had 2 doubles, a single and a walk in his 5 PA's. He also picked up his 3rd stolen base of the year and scored 3 runs
  • Chris Colabello hit his 4th HR of the year and added a single
  • Jon Diaz had a single, a double and took a walk.
  • Andy Wilkins had a single and a double
  • Chris Dickerson had a double
  • Sean Ochinko had a single
  • Brad Glenn was the only hitter without a hit in this one, seeing his average drop to .087

New Hampshire Recap
New Hampshire gave up the lead in the top of 10 to turn around and score 2 in the bottom for the walk-off win 5-4. Shane Optiz drove in the winning run. NH had 8 hits and 3 walks, striking out 9 times. The pitchers allowed 4 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, while getting 7 K's

  • Michael Lee got the start and allowed 3 unearned runs over 6 innings. He gave up 2 hits and 2 walks and struck out 2.
  • Dustin Antolin followed with 1.2 scoreless, allowing a hit and striking out 3
  • Luis Perez threw 1 inning, giving up 2 hits and a walk
  • Blake McFarland then threw the final 1.1 innings. He gave up a run on a hit and a walk. He also struck out 2

  • Jack Murphy had the only multi-hit game for the Cats, with 2 singles and 2 K's
  • Dwight Smith added a double and scored a run
  • Ryan Schmipf had a double and a walk, scoring 2 runs
  • Melky Mesa had a single and struck out 3 times
  • Matt Newman had a single and a walk
  • Jake Fox had a single
  • Shane Optiz had the walk off single in the 10th

Dunedin Recap
Dunedin fell behind early and weren't able to get much offense going until the bottom of the 9th. The D-Jays scored 6 runs on 12 hits. Defensively, they allowed 10 runs on 12 hits, 9 walks and committed 3 errors. They also allowed 3 stolen bases, including a steal of home and 3 wild pitches. Final was 10-6

  • Jairo Labourt got the start and was wild again. He went 4 innings, allowing 4 runs on 3 hits and 5 walks. He struck out 2
  • Matt Dermody got hit around pretty well in 1.2 innings. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and a walk. He struck out 4
  • Jimmy Cordero threw 1.1 scoreless innings. He allowed a hit and a walk and struck out 2
  • Scott Silverstein allowed 2 runs in 2 innings. He gave up 4 hits and 2 walks. He also gave up a HR

  • David Harris had 2 doubles and a single. Harris also threw a runner out from the outfield
  • Mike Reeves & Christian Lopes each had 2 hits
  • Roemon Fields & Dawel Lugo added a double each
  • Matt Dean & Emilio Guerrero each had a single. Dean struck out once and Guerrero K'd twice
  • Michael Saunders had a single and a walk,and may get another game in the FSL
  • Mitch Nay was the only starter without a hit, but he did pick up a walk

Lansing Recap
The Lugnuts got single runs in the 1st, 2nd & 4th innings and then held on to pick up the 3-2 win. The scored 3 runs on 9 hits. The Lugs also walked 4 times and stuck out 7 times at the dish. The pitching held Fort Wayne to 8 hits and a walk, and struck out 11 batters. Both team had 3 extra base hits on the night.

  • Conner Greene got the start and did well. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 5 innings. He struck out 5 batters and got 6 ground ball outs. He also threw a wild pitch
  • Alonzo Gonzalez pitched the last 4 innings for the save. He allowed a run on 2 hits and a walk. Gonzalez struck out 6

  • Richard Urena had the big game for the Lugs with 3 hits, including his 3rd HR of the year in the 1st
  • Ryan McBroom had 2 singles in this one
  • D.J. Davis had a triple in 4 PA's. He scored 2 runs as well. Davis struck out once and picked up his 4th stolen base
  • Dickie Joe Thon had a double and 2 K's on the night. He also picked up an outfield assist
  • Danny Jansen had a strong night with a hit and 3 walks in his 4 PA's. He also stole 2 bases
  • Chris Carlson had a single and a strike out
  • Rowdy Tellez went 0-3 but had a walk and 2 K's
