Poll Time: Do you approve of the job Alex Anthopoulos is doing?

If you could read my mind....

So it is time for our monthly Alex Anthopoulos approval poll.

Last month, his numbers were very good:

Approve: 82%

Neutral: 12

Do Not Approve: 6

Gee, I wonder if the current four game losing streak will cause his numbers to drive.

You know, a lot of what's happened really isn't Alex's fault. He didn't know that Stroman's knee would break off. He couldn't know that RA Dickey would forget how to throw the knuckleball. That Hutchison would be, well, terrible for the first month of the season. Or that neither Sanchez or Norris would work out, At least to start the season.

If one or two of those things happened, then, well, having Estrada around would have been a nice fall back.

The bullpen. Yeah he should have done more for the bullpen. But, then, I don't know if it is possible to build a bullpen that could handle the work load that a starting staff that can only pitch 5 innings (on a good day) leaves them.

Making both Miguel Castro and Roberto Osuna important parts of the pen was......overly hopeful. If I have asked you, back in March, which one of the two was more likely to succeed, odds are you would have said Castro.

The Michael Saunders' trade has backfired, but I don't think that's on Alex' shoulders. If he had known there were going to be two freak injuries and that the starting staff would implode, he wouldn't have made the trade.

Anyway, give us your vote. And tell us what you would do if you woke up this morning as Alex Anthopoulos.
