Stats of the week that may only interest me Outfield Assists - 5 - David Harris Caught Stealing % - 32% (8 of 25) - A.J. Jimenez Hit By Pitch - 13 - Tim Locastro Buffalo Buffalo had a better run this past week, finding a little bit of offense after scuffling along since Chris Colabello's recall to Toronto. Including the holiday Monday, Buffalo went 4-4 and 3 of the losses were by 1 run. The big game for the bats was the 16-2 fog shortened win on Saturday. Even taking that game out of the picture, the Herd had a positive run differential, which indicates some better performance.
This week, Buffalo starts a 7-game road trip with 3 in Columbus and then a 4-game set in Toledo. Buffalo just finished splitting 4 games with Toledo at home, so the return should be interesting. On Saturday, Buffalo hammered Toledo as discussed, and then lost 5-2 in 12 innings, as Chad Jenkins gave up 3 runs in the 12th.
In Monday's game, Buffalo gave up 3 in the first inning and couldn't find enough offense to come all the way back. The offense had 7 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 7 times. The pitching held Toledo to 3 unearned runs in the first on a Matt Hague error, 5 walks and struck out 8
Miguel Castro started and gave up 2 2-out HR's in the 1st. Overall Castro allowed 5 hits and a walk over 2.1 innings. Castro picked up 2 strike outs. He threw 57 pitches, including 37 strikes.
Minor Leaguer's Edit: The two homers Castro gave up were bombs--one was hit to the Bob Evans' outlet in left and the other bounced off the right field roof and went out of the stadium.
Luis Perez was back in Buffalo and in a different role after picking up a save earlier this week for NH. He threw 3 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and 2 walks, while striking out 4
Rob Rasmussen then followed with 2.2 scoreless, without giving up a hit. Rasmussen allowed 2 walks and struck out 2
Brad Glenn continued his hot streak with a solo HR in the 6th, his 2nd of the year
Andy Burns & Caleb Gindl both picked up 2 singles. Gindl also added a walk. Burns was picked off and caught stealing

Daniel Norris allowed 2 runs over 6 innings on Sunday. He gave up 5 hits and 3 walks, but struck out 9
New Hampshire New Hampshire had a rough week going 2-5, although 3 of the losses came by a run. The Fisher Cats didn't seem to have a lot of offense last week, but did win Sunday & Monday to start a mini streak that will hopefully carry on.
This week, the Fisher Cats play a 3-game set at Reading and then return home to take on Altoona. Over the weekend, New Hampshire lost 6-1 to Binghamton before coming back with a 5-0 win on Sunday, with a 5-run 8th inning. The one thing to keep an eye on is the fact that Dwight Smith hasn't played since May 15th, but he's still on the active roster. I haven't heard anything on him though.
On Monday, New Hampshire had a good pitched game as they beat Reading 4-1. Both clubs had 6 hits on the night. NH picked up 4 walks and 7 K's. Reading had 2 walks and 5 K's. The Fisher Cats got 3 in the 1st inning and held on from there in the victory. The NH bullpen didn't allow a hit over 3.2 innings to shut down the win
Casey Lawrence threw 5.1 innings of 1-run ball. He allowed 6 hits and a walk, while striking out 3
Scott Barnes threw 0.2 innings
Greg Burke had 2 scoreless innings with a walk and a K.

Dunedin Last week Dunedin had an average week, going 3-4 with a -4 run differential on the road. The D-Jays split at Fort Myers before losing 2 of 3 at Lakeland. Dunedin moves home for a 7-game road trip, with 3 against Tampa and 4 with St. Lucie.
Over the weekend Dunedin picked up a 3-1 win on Saturday and lost 6-3 on Sunday. On Saturday, Dunedin went down 1 in the 1st, but chipped away to win 3-1. Sunday, Dunedin jumped out to a lead in the 1st, but couldn't score again until the 9th. J.D. Davis played Saturday, but did not play Sunday or Monday, so that's a roster item to keep an eye on
On Monday, Dunedin was down 2 before they came to bat, and were down 3-0 until the bottom of 6, when they tied it up, and then went ahead with a 4-run 8th inning, as they beat the Yankees 7-3. Dunedin had 10 hits and a walk. The D-Jays also struck out 6 times. Tampa had 7 hits and 4 walks, but struck out 9 times.

Lansing Lansing went 3-4 last week, losing 2, winning 2, losing a game, winning a game and then losing another. The Lugs were a -8 for the week, the bulk of which came in an 11-4 loss to West Michigan. This week Lansing plays a 8-game home stand, starting with 4 at home against South Bend and then welcoming Fort Wayne for 4.
Over the weekend, Lansing picked up a 4-3 win on Saturday, before losing 4-3 on Sunday. In both games, Lansing gave up a big inning and that was all the offense they would allow. A 3-run 8th Saturday made the game close, while the 4-run 5th on Sunday was the difference.
On Monday, Lansing and South Bend traded runs most of the game, but Lansing came out with a 7-5 win. Lansing had 16 hits and a walk. They struck out 7 times. South Bend had 11 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 6 times.
