Shi Davidi is telling us that the Blue Jays are calling up International League Player of the Month for April, Chris Colabello from Buffalo, because, as you know a day without a roster move is like a day without sunshine. No word on the corresponding move, though Shi says it isn't going to be someone going on the DL. It sounds to me like they will be moving Ezequiel Carrera back to Buffalo, though I don't really see why, Carerra is hitting .571/.571/.571 in 3 games with the Jays, and plays better defense than Colabello.
Colabello is hitting .337/.421/.554 with 5 home runs as a Bison. He has played mostly first base, with a couple of games in right and some DH thrown in. Colabello played for the Twins in 114 games in 2013 and 2014, hitting .214/.284/.364 with 13 home runs in 114 games.
If it isn't Carerra going down, perhaps it is paternity leave situation for someone.
Update: Jonathan Diaz is being sent to Buffalo to make room for Colabello and pitcher Jayson Aquino has had the DFA treatment. I'd rather they kept Diaz around but that's me.
I guess Danny Valencia is the backup for the middle infield spots.
