In Game 1, Buffalo was able to take advantage of 3 Charlotte errors, and hold the club to 4 hits as the Herd picked up a 7-3 win. Buffalo had 5 hits & 5 walks, striking out 4 times. Charlotte ended up with 4 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6 times. Buffalo's 4-run 1st was big for the Herd to get out of the gate.
- Randy Wolf went the distance in the 7-inning game, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Wolf walked 2 and struck out 6. Wolf also got 11 ground outs and 2 fly ball outs during the game
- Josh Thole provided the bulk of the Buffalo runs with a two-out bases clearing double and 4 RBI's

New Hampshire had a game they would like to quickly forget on Thursday, as they were shutout on 1 hit and a walk in a 3-0 loss to Akron. Akron also struck out 7 Fisher Cat hitters. Akron picked up 8 hits, the big blast a 2-run HR in the 1st. Akron had 3 walks and 5 K's on the night. Will Roberts faced only 1 more than the minimum in a complete game shutout, picking up a game score of 91 after an 1:50 delay
- Taylor Cole had a good outing, allowing the 2 runs on the 2-run HR in the 1st inning. Cole allowed 5 hits and struck out 5, as he got 11 ground outs and 2 fly outs in 91 pitches (67 strikes)
- Danny Barnes allowed an unearned run on 3 hits in an inning of work
- Dalton Pompey had the only New Hampshire hit as he went 1-3 with a K
- Dwight Smith picked up a walk and a strike out
- Ryan Schimpf had 2 strikeouts

Dunedin Recap
Dunedin had put up 2 in the bottom of 1, gave up 3 in the top of 5 and came back with 2 in the 6th to beat Charlotte, the league leaders, 4-3 on Thursday. Dunedin held Charlotte to a single and 6 extra base hits in this one. Charlotte added 6 walks and struck out 7 times. Dunedin picked up 9 hits and 4 walks on Thursday, striking out 8 times. D-Jay pitchers were able to hold Charlotte to an 0-13 mark with runners in scoring position
- Jeff Hoffman wasn't great in this start. Hoffman allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks. Hoffman struck out 3, but gave up back-to-back solo HR's in the 5th to the #7 & #8 hitters. Hoffman did have 6 ground outs against 3 fly outs
- Phil Kish had 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and walking 3. Kish got 6 ground outs in his outing
- Wil Browning had a 2 inning save as he allowed only a double, while striking out 4
- J.D. Davis had 3 hits, including a double. He scored a run, struck out once and was caught stealing

The DSL Blue Jays again had an ugly game in a rough loss, as they fell 10-5 to the DSL Reds in a game that featured 11 errors. The Blue Jays allowed a 6-run top of the 2nd and that was the big blow in the game. The Reds scored 10 runs on 14 hits, 3 walks and 7 Blue Jay errors. Only 3 of the Red runs were earned. The Blue Jays had 4 hits and 6 walks, striking out 6 times
- Jose Nova allowed 7 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits in 3 innings. Nova didn't walk a batter and struck out 1, while getting 9 ground balls versus 2 fly balls
- Tommy Henriquez allowed 2 runs on 6 hits and a walk over 2.2 innings. Henriquez struck out 1
- Wilmin Lara allowed an unearned run on 4 hits over 2.1 innings. Lara recorded 5 ground ball outs
- Alvaro Galindo had a shutout inning that featured 2 walks and a K
- Victor Figuereo had a 2-run HR in the 2nd inning, his 2nd of the season. He also walked and struck out once. FIguereo also had an outfield assist
