The start of the second half, it would be nice if it was a little bit better than the first half.
I'm back home and happy to be back. I kind of like watching baseball in the comfort of my family room. I found the seats at Rogers Centre narrow and the leg room lacking. Add in people standing up to get in the way at the wrong moments of the game and, as much as Buck and Pat can drive me crazy, at least with them I can use a mute button. There is no such button at the ball park.
In the past I've never wanted to leave a ball game early, I'm too cheap, I paid for these tickets, I'm going to use them. This trip, there were times when I felt so uncomfortable and irritated that I needed to get away. Maybe it is age. Or maybe it is crankiness. Either way, I don't feel the urge to put up with irritants anymore.
Also beer costs too much. And sometimes it is cloudy, I don't like clouds.
Smoak gets a start. I'm hoping he doesn't see his shadow and we don't have to wait another 6 weeks for his next start.
There are an impressive number of songs about Detroit out there. But I'm an old Canadian, so lets pick lyrics from an old Gordon Lightfoot song "Black Day in July", which talks about riots in Detroit back in 1967. 43 people died in the rioting and the police/military response.
GO JAYS GO!
Remember we have rules here. Mostly don't be terrible (it seems like a small thing to ask). No arguing with the Mods, you have a problem, email Tom, but in the thread, let's not debate rules.
