The Toronto Blue Jays announced this morning that they have recalled Munenori Kawasaki from Buffalo, optioned RP Ryan Tepera and designated Danny Valencia and Ezequiel Carrera for assignment.
ROSTER MOVES: Kawasaki recalled & Tepera optioned to @BuffaloBisons. Carrera and Valencia designated for assignment.

The move that sticks out the most is Valencia. Carrera was the odd man out when the team acquired Ben Revere, and I'm guessing once Kawasaki was recalled it was between Valencia and Chris Colabello for the final roster spot.
Jamie Campbell said that Revere will play even against left handed pitching which obviously limits playing time for the lefty-killer Valencia. One can only assume that Alex Anthopoulos tried to trade Valencia who should have some value.
AA on Valencia DFA: hard to find playing time. Revere is an every day player. Will start against LHP.

Revere has never really had trouble with left-handed pitching even as a left-handed hitter putting up a career .302 average against them but this year sits at .234. Not to mention the fact that he probably runs the bases better than Carrera.
The final bullpen spot likely came down to Aaron Loup or Tepera, and I don't think manager John Gibbons would have liked only having one left-hander in the bullpen.
