According to a French report from RDS, the Toronto Blue Jays will be playing two spring training games in Montreal's Olympic Stadium on April 1 and 2, 2016. The official announcement should come some time next week. However, no source(s) were mentioned in the article, nor was there a byline listed.
This will be the third year that the Blue Jays will play exhibition games in Montreal before the season begins. In both 2014 and 2016 the Blue Jays drew over 96,000 fans to Olympic Stadium. This year the games were played over Easter weekend, next year the games will be played the weekend after Easter.
The Jays faced the New York Mets in 2014 and the Cincinnati Reds in 2015; however their 2016 opponent has yet to be confirmed.
After the couple of games in Montreal, the Blue Jays will be heading back down to Florida where they will play their regular season opener against the Rays on April 4 before returning to Canada for their Home Opener on April 8.
