The Blue Jays and Yankees will play game one of their four-game series tonight after it was rained out on Thursday. It will feature the same pitchers as expected for last night with ace David Price going for the Jays against rookie Luis Severino.
Injuries wise, John Gibbons has said that Devon Travis is still taking dry swings and has not been shut down for the rest of the season, but he won't be allowed to join the active roster until the end of September. Meanwhile, Mark Teixeira will miss the rest of the season due to a fracture discovered on MRI.
#BlueJays haven't shut down Devon Travis, who's taking dry swings. Gibbons: "I don't know how realistic it is but there's still life there."
