Red Sox 1 Blue Jays 2

Marcus Stroman looks like he's in mid-season form. I really enjoyed watching him pitch today. He went 4.2 (I'm not sure why Gibby didn't let him finish the 5th inning, after getting a double play ball). He allowed 3 singles, no walks, with 4 strikeouts. He was dominate.

Other pitchers:

  • Blake McFarland: Got the last out of the 5th.
  • Drew Storen: 1 inning, 1 strikeout. Also looked very good.
  • Brett Cecil: 1 inning, 1 single, 2 strikeouts.
  • Roberto Osuna: 1 inning, 1 single.
  • Joe Biagini: 1 inning, 2 strikeout. And then the game tying home run. Until the home run he looked great. He got a soft ground out to end the inning.
  • Chad Girodo: 0.2, 1 single, 1 strikeout.
  • Ben Rowen: Got the last out of the 10th, pop out.
Batters:

We didn't do much on offense today. The Jays batters had trouble with Steve Wright, who pitched 4 innings of 3 hit ball. We got a run off Roman Mendez, Andy Burns just barely scoring from second on A.J.Jimenez' single. Very close play at the plate.

  • Dalton Pompey: 0 for 3, 1 strikeout. .176 on the spring. Listening to Gibby, looks like he will start the season in Buffalo.
  • Andy Burns: 2 walks. .385. Scored both our runs. Burns is having a very nice spring.
  • Darwin Barney: 0 for 3. .353.
  • Casey Kotchman: 1 for 2, reached on error in the 10th.
  • Russell Martin: 1 for 2. .273.
  • A.J.Jimenez: 1 for 2, walk, RBI, strikeout. .333.
  • Justin Smoak: 1 for 2, walk.
  • Jon Berti: 1 for 2, game winning RBI.
  • Domonic Brown: 0 for 3, walk, strikeout. .167.
  • Junior Lake: 1 for 3, double, .235. I write about him in the morning, he gets out only extra base hit in the afternoon. He also bunted a ball off his helmit.
  • Matt Dominguez: 1 for 3. .333. Made a couple of nice plays on defense.
  • Ezequiel Carrera: 0 for 3, walk, 2 strikeouts. .071.
  • Jio Mier: 1 for 2, strikeout. .313.
  • Richard Urena: 0 for 2 strikeout. .214.
The Blue Jays are now 9-1-1.
