The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to improve on their 10-4 record Friday afternoon with Aaron Sanchez taking the hill, broadcast live on Sportsnet. If you're able to take a break from watching your NCAA brackets get destroyed, Sanchez hopes to put on a display against the Astros in his bid to win the last spot in the rotation.
According to Gregor Chisholm's Facebook page, Brett Cecil, Drew Storen, Steve Delabar and recently signed Randy Choate are all in line to come in for relief after Sanchez concludes his day.
The lineup will be led by mostly regulars along with A.J Jiminez who is hitting an impressive .417 this spring. Ezequiel Carrera and Darwin Barney will also see time in the starting lineup.
It was also announced prior to the game that Dalton Pompey would be reassigned to minor league camp while Brad Penny, who pitched yesterday against the Astros, will also retire from baseball.
Pompey was never going to make the team with Saunders healthy, he goes down now to get at-bats every day in minor-lg games. #Bluejays #Jays
