Blue Jays 3 Braves 1

Michael Saunders is doing his best to make us happy about the Jay Bruce trade falling apart. He hit his 3rd home run of the spring. He was 1 for 3 with a strikeout.

Beyond that, it was a good outing for R.A. Dickey, 3 innings, just 1 hit and 1 walk allowed. No strikeouts.

Aaron Sanchez had a bit more trouble. He gave up 5 singles,in his 3 inning of work, and 1 earned. He gave up 3, 2-out singles in his second inning, giving up a run, but getting out of trouble when Junior Lake threw out Ryan Lavarnway trying to go from 1st to 3rd. He posted 3 strikeouts and no walks.

Other pitchers:

Drew Storen: 1 clean inning.

Brett Cecil: 1 inning, 1 single, 1 strikeout.

Roberto Osuna: 1 inning, 1 single, 2 strikeouts.

Batters:

  • Kevin Pillar: 1 for 3, double.
  • Troy Tulowitzki: 1 for 3, strikeout.
  • Chris Colabello: 1 for 3, 2 strikeouts.
  • Junior Lake: 1 for 3, 2 strikeouts, steal.
  • Ryan Goins: 1 for 2, double, 1 walk, 1 strikeout.
  • Josh Thole: 0 for 1.
  • Russell Martin: 0 for 2, strikeout.
  • Darwin Barney: 0 for 3.
  • Ezequiel Carrera: 0 for 2, walk.
That brings the Jays to 5-1-1. Tomorrow they host the Twins.
