The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox start a four-game series at Fenway Park tonight, in what seems to be the 18th time they've played each other in April if we count the games in Montreal with R.A. Dickey battling Rick Porcello.
The Blue Jays are tapping Justin Smoak to play first base against the righty Porcello and of course Josh Thole will be behind the plate to try to corral Dickey's pitches. Catching for the Red Sox is Christian Vazquez, who was activated from the disabled list earlier today (Blake Swihart was sent back down to triple-A). Vazquez hasn't played a major league game since the end of 2014, having spent all of 2015 recovering from Tommy John surgery.
Remember we have rules that we expect everyone here to follow. TL;DR: don't be terrible (it seems like a small thing to ask). No arguing with the moderators, please. If you have a problem, email Tom instead of debating the rules in the GameThread.
