Two homers from Tulo and one from Donaldson, Jays beat A's

Nice to see the bats get going. It's about time. It's funny, another game where we had a lot of hard hit balls caught, but, this time, we had some hard hit balls leave the park.

Josh Donaldson had a 3 run home run in the 2nd inning. Troy Tulowitzki had solo shots in the 5th and the 8th. All three homers were to center field.

Add in an RBI ground out and a sac fly from Jose Bautista and an RBI single from Russell Martin. In the 8th Ezequiel Carerra singled off Rzepcynski's (I used to know how to spell his name), went to third on Scrabble's throwing error and scored on Donaldson's single. And we had our highest scoring game of the season.

It really was a great game from Carerra, he had 4 hits (two doubles) and made two great diving catches in the outfield.

We had 12 hits in all. Carerra's 4. Tulo and Donaldson had 3 each. Kevin Pillar had 2. And Martin had 1.

And J.A. Happ pitched another nice game. 7 innings, 7 hits (6 of them singles), 1 walks with just 1 strikeout. He also hit a batter, hitting the first batter he saw the bottom of the same inning that Donaldson was hit by Liam Hendriks. It did look like pay back.

Gavin Floyd pitched a quick 8th and 9th, getting 2 strikeouts, with allowing a base runner.

We also showed some good defense, turning 3 double plays and Donaldson made this play:

We've been looking for a big win, I'm glad we got it today.

Jays of the Day are Carerra (.198), Donaldson (.150) and Happ (.095). I'm going to give one to Tulo too, because I figure you hit two homers, you get a JoD.
