Jays option Chad Girodo, call up Drew Hutchison

We knew the Blue Jays were going to do this but....

Chad Girodo has been optioned back to Buffalo. He did an excellent job yesterday, 2 innings, allowing just the 1 hit. I'm sure he's made the case to come back up again. I'd, personally, rather have him up than Pat Venditte, but they didn't ask me.

Drew Hutchison gets called up to make tomorrow start. I imagine he'll be optioned back down, right after the game, with a batter coming back up. Drew has had 3 starts for the Bisons, with a 4.11 ERA. In 15.1 innings, he's allowed 11 hits, 6 walks with 20 strikeouts. Way too many walks, but the strikeouts are nice to see.

We all remember how his 2015 season went, but maybe he'll continue to have his good luck in games at Rogers Centre. I hope it goes well, I'll admit Drew is one of the ones I'm pulling for the most.

Not sure who the Jays will call up after tomorrow's game. I'd guess Matt Dominguez or Jesus Montero.
