Game #20 GameThread: A's @ Jays

It's Josh Donaldson bobblehead day. And, Josh also will be presented with his 2015 Silver Slugger Award. And his mom is throwing out first pitch. It's going to be Josh Donaldson all day.

In the lineup, Darwin Barney spells Ryan Goins for a game, giving him a break against a lefty pitcher. And Ezequiel Carrera gets another start, after having a great game yesterday. Edit: there has been a late change, Martin's out with 'neck pain', Thole is in.

Eric Surkamp makes his fourth start of the season for the A's. He is 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA. In 14.2 innings,he has allowed 16 hits, 8 walks with 6 strikeouts. More walks than strikeouts isn't a good sign. His longest start was only 5.2 innings. Hopefully our bats can continue to heat up against him.

Drew Hutchison gets the spot start for the Jays. He has a 4.11 ERA in 3 starts for the Bisons. In 15.1 innings, he's allowed 11 hits, 6 walks with 20 strikeouts. And, as you know, he was much better at home last year, than on the road.

We should have everyone available in the bullpen, other than Gavin Floyd, who pitched 2 innings yesterday. Not sure if Jesse Chavez is healthy.

I'm going to miss out on the GameThread today, driving to the beautiful town of Rocky Mountain House this afternoon, so I'll get the pleasure of listening to Jerry Howarth and Joe Siddall in the car. I'm going to try to leave right when the game starts, and, with luck it should time out perfectly with my drive.
