The Dunedin Blue Jays seem to be the most prospect-heavy affiliate to start the season. Dunedin starts the season at home on Thursday night against Clearwater.
Anthony Alford returns to Dunedin after dominating the Florida State League in 57 games last season. Although he did not show much in terms of power, a .302 batting average and a strong walk rate led to an incredible ability to get on-base. As a 21-year old with defensive value, Alford could be promoted to AA sooner rather than later.
Conner Greene reached AA for 5 starts last season, but will return to Dunedin to begin the season. The 6'3 righty boasted strong numbers in 21 starts between Dundein and Lansing, but did run into some trouble when he reached AA. Conner turns 21 today, so happy birthday Conner!
