The Lansing Lugnuts will boast a bounty of early draft picks in the Midwest League to begin the season. The team will play an exhibition game against Michigan State University on Wednesday, before starting the regular season on Thursday night.
Max Pentecost will begin the year on the disabled list as he recovers from shoulder surgery. The 11th overall pick in the 2014 amateur draft is already 23, but has just 25 professional games to his name. Sean Reid-Foley, another early pick in that draft, will join Pentecost on the Lugnuts. The 20 year old has the ability to rack up the strikeouts, but must work on his command to be successful. Other standouts on this roster include Jon Harris, Angel Perdomo, and Carl Wise.
