Around The Nest Blue Jays Minor League Podcast - Week 7: To the Max!

The past week of Blue Jays minor league baseball was capped by Max Pentecost's season debut last night (which Matt W wrote up wonderfully here as well as a recap of pitching prospects). Beyond the debut there was also a marathon game down in Dunedin earlier this week that saw a certain Joe Thon become the second "Dickie" to pitch in the Blue Jays organization this year. Because of that the Around The Nest question of the week is going to be on the broadcasters' most memorable occasion when it comes to position players pitching.

Around The Nest is a Blue Jays minor league live podcast hosted by the Voice of the Lansing Lugnuts Jesse Goldberg-Strassler and is joined by the radio broadcasters from up and down the Jays' farm system.

Tune in right here starting at 4 pm Eastern!

Here is the show description from Jesse:

It's been a wild, productive week: Max Pentecost is back on the field, while Dickie Joe Thon ascends the mound. In Triple-A, Wade LeBlanc and the Buffalo Bisons' pitchers have caught fire. In Double-A, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have won six out of seven and Rowdy Tellez has found his home run stroke. In A-Advanced, it's all arms on deck for the Dunedin Blue Jays, searching for pitching depth following a wild 13-inning defeat. And in Single-A, first-rounders Pentecost and Jon Harris gave the Lansing Lugnuts a needed boost. Join the radio voices of the Toronto Blue Jays' affiliates, as they discuss the latest observations and insights from the past week's games from up and down the MiLB ladder!

Every week Jesse aims to answer a few questions from Bluebird Banter readers on the air. If you have any, put them in the comments below!
