Darwin Barney plays today, Gibby is saying that he's going to go to a platoon at second, which I figured they would do long ago. But I'm sure that Barney hasn't earned the full time job.
Aside from that, all is normal with the lineup.
Martin Perez is 1-2 with a 4.20 ERA. In 5 starts he's pitched 30 innings, allowed 26 hits, 3 homers, 15 walks and 14 strikeout. More walks than strikeouts.
Marco Estrada gets his 5th start. He's 1-2 with a 2.92 ERA in his first four, but 4 of his 8 earned runs came the inning he took the ground ball off the legs and was clearly hurting. In all 24.2 innings, 22 hits, 1 homer,11 walks and 25 strikeouts.
