It's no secret that the Toronto Blue Jays have not been happy with their bullpen, and they have reportedly added a veteran to it in former Atlanta Braves closer Jason Grilli.
They dealt 18th round pick Sean Ratcliffe in exchange for the 39 year old.
#BlueJays acquiring Jason Grilli from #Braves in exchange for Sean Ratcliffe, sources say. Story coming soon on @BB_Essential.

Grilli has struggled so far this season with a 1-2 record and 5.29 ERA but is just one season removed from a year that he had 24 saves and a 2.94 ERA.
The trade has yet to be officially announced which means any corresponding roster move will likely only come tomorrow but I would expect one of the eight relievers to be sent to AAA to make room for Grilli.
Between Jesse Chavez, Gavin Floyd, Drew Storen, Joe Biagini and now Grilli the Blue Jays will be hoping some of the arms in the bullpen can regain their top form and join Roberto Osuna to become the unit they thought they had when the season was starting.
