Happy Canada Day! It’s also Friday so we will be having another edition of the weekly Blue Jays minor league podcast Around The Nest at 4 pm Eastern. Hopefully the Blue Jays game will be over by then. Around The Nest is hosted by the radio voice of the Lansing Lugnuts Jesse Goldberg-Strassler and features the voices of the Blue Jays’ minor league affiliate from rookie-level Bluefield all the way up to triple-A Buffalo.
Tune in by clicking here: the broadcast starts at 4 pm Eastern with the archived version available afterwards.
Here is this week’s show description from Jesse:
The Blue Jays' MiLB system tunes up for greatness at the start of July, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra readies for its grand performance Sunday night at Coca-Cola Field. The Triple-A Bisons' winning streak was stopped at nine games -- what's Ben Wagner's takeaway from the streak? In Double-A, Casey Lawrence turns in arguably the Fisher Cats' best start of the season. In A-Advanced, how good have Emilio Guerrero and Richard Urena been recently? The Single-A Lansing Lugnuts are off to a roaring start in the second half behind homer-happy Connor Panas. His former teammate, Jake Anderson, is swinging it well with Short-Season A Vancouver, joined by strong debuts from Cavan Biggio and Justin Maese. And in Advanced Rookie Bluefield, both Nick Sinay and Edward Olivares are off to fine starts. Happy Canada Day
As always, Jesse and the hosts look forward to answering your questions. Simply put them in the comments below before 4 pm!
