Game #99 GameThread: Mariners @ Blue Jays

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

A win would be nice.

So we are suddenly Drewless, until the next time Hutchison gets the call.

Along with the bobblehead and his dad throwing out the first pitch, Kevin Pillar is getting an award before the game:

Pillar will be presented the Wilson Defensive player of the Year Award as the best Centerfielder in all of baseball. The Wilson award, is presented to one player from each position regardless of league.

Well deserved.

Wilson determined its Defensive Player of the Year Award winners with a formula that includes traditional defensive stats, advanced metrics and information gathered by Inside Edge

J.A. Happ gets the start today. He's been good, but hasn't pitched 6 innings much lately. But then Wade Miley isn't likely to go deep into the game either.

No Russell Martin again today. Thole is 0 for 5, with a walk and a sac fly, in our last two games, but them most of our hitters haven't done much over the last couple of games.
